Service Repair Technician
We are seeking a a highly skilled and motivated individual looking for a fast-paced position within our service department. The ideal candidate for this position would someone who has prior repair skills for equipment and parts which are brought in by customers. This position would need someone who is multi skilled in areas such as welding, industrial maintenance, automotive, agricultural knowledge and other repair techniques. Also, someone who understands OSHA rules and regulations and abides by their safety guidelines to help keep our facility a safe working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to install, repair, service, test and troubleshoot equipment
- Working knowledge of the equipment needed for the job
- Plan repair work using blueprints or equipment manual as needed
- Respond to service requests and repair products
- Install and test products to make sure they work correctly
- Communicate with customers about status of repair completion
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proven service experience in the field (2+ years preferred)
- Ability to follow instructions from supervisor or senior service workers
- Knowledge of industrial repairs preferred
- Welding and agricultural knowledge is not required but beneficial to have
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools. Must provide your own tools
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds, climb ladders, bend or crawl into awkward spaces, and stand for prolonged periods
